The hills have history
Located roughly 70+ km from Hyderabad, Ananthagiri Hills is one of the most densely forested regions in the Vikarabad district — about a two-hour drive, with train options also running to Vikarabad.
These hills are the source of the Musi River, which flows through Hyderabad and feeds the Osman Sagar (Gandipet) and Himayat Sagar reservoirs — the very water supply of the city below. Runners cross one of its feeder streams on the trail itself.
A key landmark is the historic Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu — the hills take their name from this revered site.
Bib collection & accommodation
No bib or t-shirt distribution on race day — Sunday, 4th October 2026. Collect yours in advance at one of these two expos, and plan your stay in the hills.
